After completing the secondary school Gimnazija Škofja Loka, Kalina entered the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Ljubljana, where she used an additional academic year to gain valuable experience at a clinic for exotic animals in Spain. After returning to Slovenia, she graduated in 2019 and began a career in small animal practice. She continues to perfect her knowledge at congresses of veterinary medicine and other educational events in Slovenia and abroad. Her main interest is in internal medicine, and she also wishes to advance her skills in veterinary care for exotic animals.
